Hi, I’m Karizma Funnye & I am the Founder of No Body Shaming Positive Mind Positive Life.

Riz is another innovative, creative but empathic individual from the Bronx. Being a person of color, Karizma finds it important to not only participate in “Self-Care” but also have compassion for oneself. The NYC Therapist’s faith and grounding has led her down a journey of healing. The founder is grateful to share what God is revealing to the world.

"Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.” - Audre Lorde

My Approach

We like to think of skin as a foundation. Or some of us prefer foundation on a regular basis and that is acceptable! Our skin can tell us how we are feeling, where we been and what is coming. My therapeutic grade soaps and sea-moss contain minerals and herbs that aid during this journey! Growing up I battled with sensitive skin and having the well known eczema diagnoses. My engagement in aromatherapy and self care allowed me to utilize my mini experiences into mental & physical healing. When my father was in the land of the living, I began to use Sea-moss in our diet as he had concerns that I weighed more than him and he showed improvement. Next, I began sharing this wonderful algae with extended family and friends. In the midst of sea-moss benefiting my life so did my handmade soaps. Some of our skin concerns are genetic but with the right intention, love and care we can accept our skin and ourselves in our journey. My hope is that my essentials bless you and those around your.

Mindfulness & Language

While I attended NYU I learned the importance of connecting with yourself and others. What we speak has power whether it is over ourselves or others.

Proverbs 18:21 "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits."

Accountability

With so many distractions around us and things to get done it is always okay to check in. My coaching & workshops offer a space to process your present and everyday.
